So another Andy B two minute video. today, can't sleep? Pray. You ever had those nights, you wake up, it's three o'clock, it's very dark in your household. You haven't got to go to work, it's not your alarm, you've just been woken up, you don't need the loo, you're just awake. And then you get a bit annoyed because it's a bit cold and under the duvet in the bed it's all squishy and warm and you just want sleep.
Have you had that when you've gone to the loo in the middle of the night and you're trying to stay just enough asleep to go to the loo, not make a mess, get back to bed again as quickly as you can and get back into bed and go to sleep. Sometimes when we're woken up as Christians, I absolutely believe it's not because God wants to annoy you or irritate you, but just to get your attention.
www. berrybunch. com God is a father who loves you. He loves me. He loves us. He loves communication. And sometimes in those busier times in my life, I've found God waking me up in the middle of the night. Sometimes it's six o'clock, like this morning. What did I do? I got up, came downstairs, and I had a bit of a quiet time.
Tried to spend a bit of time with God. Sometimes God wakes us up for that. Here's another thing. Sometimes, God wakes us up to pray for somebody else. I know, And I will state this as fact, I have had palpitations in the middle of the night, 3, 4am, and somebody has prayed for me, and they said, I've just prayed for you, Andy, for your palpitations, are you okay?
They didn't know I had palpitations, but they were woken up by God, the Holy Spirit nudged them, they woke up, and they said, I've just prayed for you. And as they said that, and I read that email, which I've got because I can't sleep because I've got palpitations, my palpitations stopped. And I opened email and saw that message.
This is what happens when we pray. If God is waking you up in the middle of the night, and it's not because you need the loo, or maybe God's using that as a way of getting you out of bed, those first few steps, and then you can go to the loo and carry on downstairs, make a cup of tea, get under a blanket if it's cold, and start praying for people.
Because you might be the person that God is trying to get involved in somebody else's life. And then send them a message. Don't just wake up and pray. If you can, send a message. I get messages from people praying for you, Andy B. It is so, encouraging. It warms the heart. If God wakes you up in the middle of the night, get on your knees and pray.
Who knows, you might be the solution for somebody else's problem. Because prayer works and it changes lives. It changes people. It sets them free. And prayer is what God desires to do. He desires us to pray to Him and for others. God wakes you up. Get on your knees and pray. Just a thought.
