So another Andy B two minute video and this one I'll warn you in an in advance is all about sewage and septic tanks. Now, while that may not be very exciting and something you don't want to consider, and if you're having your lunch, maybe you want to pause this, have your lunch and come back again. we found that it appeared as though.

Our toilets were blocked. Went to flush the toilet, realised it was very high, thought okay, somewhere it's got blocked outside in the drains. So what did I do? I went outside, I lifted the manhole cover and we had a good look and we thought okay, obviously it's blocked, it's not flowing as it's supposed to.
Now, we were fairly certain there was a septic tank in the house, so rather than it going, into the street to the mains and then being taken away, to be processed, there's a big tank. And what's transpired is, one, we definitely have a septic tank, yes, confirmed that now, but, two, it was over full.

Hasn't been active for a long time. And because it's full, when we flush the loo, the water has nowhere to go. So what happens, you get back pressure, you look under the manhole cover, you look under an inspection chamber, and what is something that should be basically flowing fluids, is not. It's not a pretty thing.

It's also part of life. Now, I don't know how much drain rods, I don't know anything about drain rods, but basically you stick a drain rod down a hole, it's got a big rubber plunger, and it pushes stuff out of the way to allow you drains. It doesn't matter how much drain rodding. That might have been done to that drain.

It was never gonna fix the problem because it wasn't a blockage in the pipes. That's what drain rods do. They get rid of the blockage. The problem is in the blockage. Actually, the problem is an overflowing tank. What's this gotta do with life and faith? Lots. How often in life are you furiously shoving through life to get through the blockages when actually there's no blockage?

It might appear as though there is, and you can get your drain rods, and you can be, pushing them down as hard as you can, and you're not getting rid of the blockage in your life. Why? Because there's no blockage. Actually, what we need is something in our life to be removed. It's more than a blockage.
We don't need a blockage fixing in the drains. What we need is a septic tank, where all the stuff goes, to be emptied. And sometimes we need to leave our stuff with God and say, God, will you take these things from me? It's not a blockage. It's just stuff. And this is the beautiful thing about God. God wants to take the stuff that we really, don't want in our lives.

He wants to remove it from us so that we can be more beautiful for Him. Don't work too hard removing blockages because maybe God just wants to take something out of your life instead. Just a thought.
