Play It By Ear

Something happened whilst I was at Cliff College over the Bank Holiday Weekend, something so exciting that it remains the highlight of the festival for me!

The whole of the BerryBunch was at Cliff College for the annual Fest and we spent most of our time at the BerryBunch stand sharing who we are and what we do. At the stand we were privileged to meet the leaders for the ‘Awesome’ tent for 5–11-year-olds and were invited to visit them if we could.

I had an idea pop into my head – an inspired idea to give our BerryBunch Berry stickers to the children. And so, Peter and I – I felt better going with a younger person – wondered off to the Awesome tent with a pile of cool stickers lovingly designed and created by our very own Nathan.

We were greeted with warm and friendly smiles and the leaders remembered us. Our stickers were received well, and it was decided that they should go in the children’s goodie bags to be given to them on the last day and our pile of fifty sticker strips was just the right amount.

This was exciting enough, but I could not have timed it better to arrive at the Awesome Tent because within minutes of arriving, Peter and I were privileged to experience a lively, funny, brilliant skit by the Christian Drama Company – Play it by Ear. Their performance was exhilarating. I did not get to see them before that or afterwards, although I heard they had been performing in various venues at various times throughout the weekend.

Thank you God for this perfect timing to get to see Play It by Ear in action.
