S05E050, Isn’t It Amazing…Andy B 2 Minute Video
Isn’t It Amazing what Jesus did? He was the Son of God – of course. But He was also a carpenter, an older brother, a son.
One thing remains certain about His life and that is that He obeyed His parents, and his Heavenly Father too. He didn’t just do what He wanted, but knew He was part of something bigger.
He was Jesus Christ. And, yet, He was the world’s greatest servant too.
As we progress through life we gain wisdom and understanding. We experience the highs and lows of a life that is marred by the very sin that Jesus went on to conquer when He died on the Cross of Calvary.
God designed us to have dreams, vision, plans, intelligence. And He desires for us to use them.
However, with wisdom can come arrogance – ‘we’ve been here before so we know how this goes’. And God wants us to use that wisdom!
We can see social injustice, and God wants us to care for those who have little or no voice.
But, we also can easily find ourselves asking God to rubber stamp His approval of our carefully laid out plans, when God’s plans are infinitely better.
So, next time you have a really good idea, take a moment to hush and pause. Stop, and ask God what His will for you is in this, or that, situation.
It’s true – you may well have experienced this before. But human wisdom is limited by us…so take a moment to seek out God’s plan for your life, rather than His willingness to bless your plan instead…His is always better!
Just a thought...

[00:00:00] So another Andy B Two Minute Video, and it's super exciting because it's a new year and we've got a brand new website as a Ministry. BerryBunch .org.
[00:00:17] Let me move on to today's Andy B Two Minute Video because Isn't It Amazing what we can accomplish when God is working through us and in us.
[00:00:27] Let me read this out to you. This is from the Book of Mark in the New Testament of the Bible. Last third of the Bible. Book of Mark, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. This is Mark chapter 6 verses 2 to 4
[00:00:38] The next Sabbath. He began teaching in the synagogue.
[00:00:41] This is Jesus,
[00:00:42] and many who heard him were amazed. They asked, where did He get all this wisdom and the power to perform such miracles? Then they scoffed
[00:00:51] made fun of him.
[00:00:52] He's just a carpenter. The son of Mary, the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon and his sisters live right there [00:01:00] among us, right here among us. They were deeply offended and refused to believe in Him. Then Jesus told them, A prophet is honoured everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.
[00:01:14] It's a couple of things that really struck me as I read this the other day. Firstly is, did you know that Jesus had brothers and sisters? It's not something that we talk about very often. We talk about Jesus, the family of Jesus. We talk about His mom, we talk about his dad, but we don't really think about the fact He had brothers and sisters.
[00:01:30] He was the oldest sibling. So he'll have had exactly the same issues of his brothers and sisters looking up to Him expecting from him certain thing cuz He's a bit older, all that kind of stuff. On top of being the son of God!
[00:01:46] But here's what struck me. Isn't It Amazing what we can accomplish when we let God get involved?
[00:01:52] So often we can have these plans. We, we assume what we want to do, and we make these plans. And the Bible warns us, doesn't it? It tells us, [00:02:00] don't make plans that you're gonna go to this city, and make this business, and make that money, because we don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow. So when we make these really strong plans, actually God is just looking at us because we are looking a bit like a fool, because we do not know the future.
[00:02:17] But Isn't It Amazing what we can accomplish when we let God into our plans?
[00:02:22] And isn't it even more amazing when we allow ourselves to get into God's plans, which are pure and perfect for each one of us?
[00:02:31] It's good to have plans.
[00:02:32] It's good to have dreams.
[00:02:34] It's much better to take a pause, a moment to hush and say, well, here's what I think God, but, but I wanna do things your way.
[00:02:42] Just a thought.
