S04E68, Things have a habit of changing! Andy B 2 Minute Video
Through life things are always changing around us. Whether it’s the latest development in mobile phones or the most recent, progressive opinion on what society should look like, there are always these shifts around us that we need to pay attention and deal with.
Sometimes it is accepting those changes – like getting old. All the plastic surgery in the world can’t increase your lifespan. It has the power to reduce or end it, but never to extend it.
In our relationships with God there is one certainty – God never changes. But, we do! So a wise person will take time, frequently, to ensure they are adapting to the changes in their relationship with God.
We have some trees that started blocking the internet signal we receive via a mast on a wall, that then gets sent to a router so we can have Wi Fi in the house. But, when those trees grew quite a bit, the situation changed and, rather suddenly, we had a dodgy internet connection, with a woeful download speed, an upload speed less helpful than a carrier pigeon, and a quality of signal that was simply dreadful!
All I had to do was put our mobile phone mast 6 fee higher and all was good again.
Is God asking you to take a check on your relationship with Him? For you to readjust your relationship so you can get closer to God. If He doesn’t change, and we do, then it’s always worth checking how we can keep that ability to hear His voice as good as we can possibly make it.

So another Andy B 2 Minute Video. Now we've talked a little bit about our internet signal quite a few times on Andy B, vids, and other places. But we don't have a landline coming into the house for our internet. Internet's kind of important. It's how you're getting to watch this. And I could have titled this some't to do with the fact that, sometimes, growth isn't helpful.

Because the trees around our garden, which is quite a mature, beautiful garden, have started to grow. And the mast that we use, it's about, oh, three by six inches, a little white square thing, quite lightweight. That's what receives our internet signal. It's basically a mobile phone that's on steroids. So it receives the mobile phone signal. We have a normal router, which then converts that signal into internet. And then we have Wi Fi around the house. So most of its normal, it's just how we get our internet into the house.

And the thing is, where we put it before it was working pretty well. We were getting quite a good download speed, quite a good upload speed, quality was all right and I was quite happy. Much better than when we had it on a window in the house. But we were having a few issues. So I put it on a wall outside, lifted it up, and it was quite good.

But as we're coming towards the summer, and trees and bushes are growing, now there's no clear line of sight for this little mast. So what I've done is stuck on a longer piece of wood. It's now six feet higher in the air. All of a sudden we're getting the best in download and upload speeds I have ever seen with quality of the signal through the roof! That's what you see as the ping, if you're a bit curious. So it's really good.

And in our lives as Christians we can have this, this relationship with God. We have this relationship and God never changes, but we do. And things change around us. Situations change in life.

I'm mid 40s now and if I have an injury, or I get a bruise or whatever, then it's gonna take a bit longer to heal or when I was 20. When I'm 60 it's going to take longer again. There are seasons in life that change. It's not all good or bad. It's just about seasons in life.

In our relationship with Jesus Christ, as we, as we journey along with God, we know He doesn't change but things get in the way just like the foliage and the trees outside our house, blocking that reception for our mobile phone mast. Well we change. And situations change, and we need to continually come back to God, refresh that relationship, maybe a six month remote yearly review and say, Lord, am I still walking with you where I need to be? Show me God how to get closer to you.
2:28
The trees and foliage have made our internet signal difficult so I've lifted it up in the air. Maybe God wants to do the same for you. To lift something, change something, so you can keep that relationship with God good, righteous and pure.
