Testimony Tuesday – My Story In 100 Words, by Jo
Every Tuesday we’ll post a testimony with the hashtag #TestimonyTuesday.
It’s a great idea I was inspired to imitate, from another blogger. Testimonies are so powerful because they are truths from our life. I love reading them, and look forward to reading many more.
Testimonies are so wonderfully powerful!
From reviews of a local Chinese restaurant, to car mechanics and garages, tell me I’m not the only one who heads straight for the review section to see what others have said about service, or quality, or price?!? And that is why I love testimonies. They are a gateway to information; to truth!
So, here is our first #TestimonyTuesday post, and it comes from Jo – the one who can make any house feel ever so homely and inviting!
She wrote a 100 word testimony a while back, and I couldn’t think of a more outstanding way of starting us off. It’s a great way of keeping in short, memorable and easy to share with anybody you meet!
My story in 100 words
I was brought up in a non-Christian home, but was encouraged by my Mum to go to Church when I was invited a few times by a School friend.
At eleven I rejected God and pressed the self- destruct button. I spent most of my college and University years wasting my life in drinking and partying.
However, at the age of 21, whilst on my university year abroad in Lyon, France I was feeling so guilty and lonely that I cried out to God and he saved me. I found peace, forgiveness and the love I had been searching for.
